What started as a small family-owned jewelry store in 1896, is now Portland's oldest and most trusted jeweler. And we're proud to say LaRog Brothers is still 100-percent family owned and operated.
As a full-service jewelry store, LaRog Brothers offers Portland's largest selection of wedding and engagement rings. You'll also find an impressive collection of diamond earrings and bracelets, fashion rings, watches and other fine jewelry. All in a warm, relaxed setting that makes shopping for jewelry the enjoyable experience it's meant to be.

Rick and Dave Rogoway,
"the LaRog Brothers."
We were born to be jewelers.
You could say jewelry is in our genes. As the owners of LaRog Brothers, we're proud to be the fourth generation in this family-owned jewelry business.
Even as kids, our idea of fun was hanging around the store. We literally grew up at our family's jewelry store on 82nd and Foster in Portland, learning the business from Dad. In time, we went from sweeping the sidewalk and cleaning the glass showcases to traveling to diamond cutting centers around the world.
Today, being in the stores is still about the most fun we can imagine. You'll find us at a LaRog store every day, because we love what we do. For us, it's not just about making customers. It's about making friends and making people happy. Thanks for visiting our website. And the next time you're at a LaRog Brothers store, we look forward to meeting you in person.
Portland’s family-owned jewelers since 1910.
The LaRog story began in 1896 with our great-grandfather Samuel Mazurosky, a hardworking Russian immigrant. That was the year he opened a small jewelry store in Northwest Portland. Little did he know the family business would still be going strong more than a century later
As Samuel’s reputation for honesty and excellent customer service grew, so did his business. In 1910, he moved his jewelry store to a larger location at Third and Alder in downtown Portland, where it thrived for more than three decades. Then in 1946, our uncle Sam Rogoway relocated the family business to 82nd and Foster in Southeast Portland, renaming the store LaRog Jewelers (a clever combination of our aunt’s first name and his last name).
When Sam passed away in 1960, our father Stan Rogoway took over the helm of the family jewelry store. He built up the business, adding the iconic LaRog sign with its larger-than-life rotating diamond in 1967. Dad was an active part of LaRog jewelers well into his seventies. Now, with two Portland LaRog Brothers locations—one for each Rogoway brother—we hope to follow in his footsteps by doing the same!

This is our father, Stan, standing in front of the family’s next jewelry store at Third and Alder downtown.

When LaRog jewelers moved from 82nd and Foster to Sunnybrook Center, we couldn’t leave without the famous LaRog diamond sign!

One of the proudest days of Dad’s life—and ours—was when LaRog received the "Family Business of the Year" award in 2000.
